WorkIQ welcomed a vibrant community of artists, historians, and local supporters to celebrate the launch of Eva Kelly’s Bold Women art scarf. The event was a fusion of art, history, and storytelling, honoring the resilience and contributions of Irish women across literature, politics, science, mythology, and activism.

A Unique Fusion of Art and History
Dublin-based illustrator Eva Kelly is known for her intricate blend of hand-drawn ink and brushwork, printmaking, and digital collage. Her latest project, Bold Women, was created in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, encapsulating the spirit of influential Irish women in a stunning, wearable silk scarf.
The scarf features symbolic elements of Earth, Fire, Water, and Air, represented by animals:
- Bull (Earth)
- Salmon (Water)
- Raven (Air)
- Stag (Fire)
These elements intertwine with historical references drawn from rubbings of ancient carvings at the Hill of Tara, blending Ireland’s past with contemporary storytelling.

An Evening of Inspiration at WorkIQ
With an audience of around 60 guests, the launch event provided an opportunity to hear directly from Eva Kelly about her creative journey. She shared insights into the artistic process behind Bold Women, emphasizing how the project celebrates the strength and resilience of Irish women throughout history.
Adding depth to the evening, historian and author Liz Gillis took the stage to discuss the remarkable women featured in the scarf’s design. Her talk illuminated the stories of trailblazing Irish women, bringing to life the historical and cultural impact they had on shaping modern Ireland.
A Collaboration Rooted in Creativity and Business
The partnership between WorkIQ and Eva Kelly began through a chance conversation at Seed to Success, WorkIQ’s signature business event aimed at supporting early-stage entrepreneurs. Recognizing the intersection between creative work and business growth, WorkIQ was proud to support Eva in bringing her vision to life.
The event was made possible with sponsorship from South Dublin Libraries and WorkIQ, with special thanks to Cliodhna O’Byrne, Deputy CEO of South Dublin Chamber, for opening the evening.
