On March 13, 2024, we’re buzzing with entrepreneurial energy as we hosted PitchIQ Investor Night. With over 40 attendees, six ambitious founders took the stage to deliver five-minute pitches, followed by challenging Q&A sessions with a panel of experienced investors.
From legal tech to AI-driven decision-making, mobility, and automation, the startups showcased the diversity and innovation thriving in South Dublin’s startup scene.
Meet the Founders & Their Startups
Each entrepreneur brought a unique vision, tackling challenges across technology, mobility, law, and business automation. Here’s a closer look at who pitched:
MindFuel – Jacinta Clarke
The Idea: A Mind-Pod, a portable retreat with bite-sized mindfulness content designed to help individuals recharge and reset wherever they are—be it in an office, airport, or busy workspace. It offers guided mindfulness, deep breathing, and quiet reflection to restore mental clarity and energy.
MyLaw – Jenny Kilbride
The Idea: A legal tech platform designed to make legal services more affordable and accessible for individuals and businesses by connecting clients to legal professionals easily through an intuitive online system.
FlexiDrive – Raymond Valentine
The Idea: A super-app for driver education, supporting learners from theory test to insurance. FlexiDrive connects drivers to instructors, streamlines the process of booking lessons, and makes learning to drive more convenient and accessible.
Career Navigator – Dan Potts
The Idea: An AI-powered career coaching platform designed to help individuals find career opportunities, match with relevant training programs, and gain the skills they need to succeed in their chosen fields.
Task Automate – Stephen Dillon
The Idea: Task Automate turns raw data from utilities like electricity, gas, water, and transport into actionable intelligence. Using AI, it optimizes infrastructure, generates graphics, automates network expansions, and provides real-time analytics to help businesses reduce costs and improve performance.
Decision Analytics – Eoin Carroll
The Idea: Decision Analytics automates business intelligence for manufacturing companies, offering a user-friendly platform (web and mobile) that helps businesses uncover cost-saving and revenue opportunities through data insights.
The Investor Panel: Sharp Insights & Tough Questions
The panel featured three seasoned investors with expertise in scaling startups, venture funding, and technology-driven business models:
- Neil D. – A tech entrepreneur and investor with experience in scaling startups.
- David O’Meara – A specialist in venture funding and high-growth startups, providing insights into financial strategy and investment readiness.
- David Slowey – A business strategist with deep experience in startup development and investment opportunities.
Each founder had to think on their feet, answering challenging but constructive questions about scalability, market demand, revenue models, and competitive positioning.
