No pressure. No performance. Just progress.
I’ve been talking about this for years. Now I actually have to do it.
Here’s the thing: Too many brilliant devs, founders, and creators are building incredible stuff in complete silence.
I’ve watched this happen over and over. Amazing projects that never find their audience because the builder was too scared to share their journey.
So I created Build in Public: IRL – a free event on August 15th to help people stop building in isolation and start building their audience BEFORE their product is ready.
The plan? Give attendees actionable frameworks to share their work, connect with like-minded builders, and leverage each other’s networks to grow together.
Here’s where it gets interesting:
• 15 people have signed up (out of 20 total spots)
• WorkIQ Tallaght confirmed as our venue
• My dream speaker Liz Maguire (seasoned marketing expert) agreed to sharing her insights on building an authentic online presence. You’d think I’d be celebrating, right?
Instead, I’m terrified.
Because I’ve been talking about doing this for YEARS.
But now I’m realizing I think I wanted to want to do it more than actually do it.
Wanting to do something is comfortable.
Actually doing it?
That requires showing up, planning every detail, and taking responsibility for other people’s time and experience.
Part of me hoped I’d just forget about the idea after making that first poster.
But when real people started signing up, I realized: there’s no backing out now.
So yes, I’m scared. But I’m also more excited than I’ve been in months.
Because the only thing worse than failing is wondering “what if?”
Ready to stop building in silence?
