Behind every successful manufacturing business is one thing that rarely gets talked about enough: clear, reliable data. For many SMEs operating in bespoke or project-based manufacturing, visibility around time, costing, and margins can be the difference between growth and stagnation.
Founded by Eoin Carroll, Decision Analytics is helping manufacturing businesses move away from guesswork and towards confident, data-driven decision-making. Through analytics expertise and the development of their ClockUp platform, the company is helping teams understand where time goes, how jobs really perform, and how margins can be protected as businesses scale.
As part of the WorkIQ community, Decision Analytics continues to grow its technology offering while staying closely connected to the local business ecosystem. Below, Eoin shares more about the journey so far.
Can you tell us a bit about what your company does and what you’re currently working on?
At Decision Analytics, we bring business analytics to the manufacturing sector. We’re building ClockUp – a time and job tracking platform for manufacturing teams. It captures operator time on jobs, improves costing, and gives managers better control of margins as they grow.
What problem does your business help solve, and why is that important to you or your clients?
Bespoke manufacturing SMEs often lack visibility of operator time and true job costs. Paper, spreadsheets, and disconnected systems lead to weak quotes and margin challenges.
What’s one of the bigger challenges you’ve faced recently as a business?
Cash flow: we’ve moved from project work to a SaaS product, giving up steady income. We need to grow recurring sales quickly before our funds run out!
Is there something about your company or the work you do that might surprise people?
Our current vision is very different from what we started working on originally.
AI has completely changed the tech landscape and we are adapting and always testing new ideas.
What are you most proud of in the business so far?
We have helped 20+ SMEs over three years, paid our staff and contracted local partners which is a great success in itself.
What made you choose WorkIQ as your workspace?
Selfishly, it’s a 10-minute cycle for me as the founder, and since our team is mostly remote, it works great.

How have you found WorkIQ and the community since being based here?
I’m in WorkIQ every day and find it great for being productive. We’ve found partners and potential clients in the building and get involved in the wider community.
